      Our home flooded during Hurricane Harvey back in 2017. The AC was underwater and not functional. We called the company who originally installed it (before we purchased the house) and also one other company as a comparison. Both told us we needed a brand new unit, well over $12,000 for everything. Then one of our friends told us about SouthCoast. They came out and checked everything and literally flipped a switch and got us back up and running at NO CHARGE! That was awesome!! Then during our rebuild, we wanted to put in some extra returns, ducts, and a new intake as a result of some remodeling in order to get better airflow in other parts of the house. They did a really great job and even gave us the family discount.

      Our system worked absolutely great for years until just recently it started acting up (it’s around 20 years old and has taken some power hits from bad weather). They came out the very next day and checked everything, explained and showed us the situation, then gave us multiple options for what to do (good, better, best). We picked to do the best thing since it has generally been a reliable unit for its age. All said and done, they had two great techs come out and fixed it the same day, and then charged us LESS than we were quoted!! Again a great surprise and a blessing. We couldn’t recommend them more highly! They are incredibly honest and treat their customers like family.

      Heating system wasn’t turning on, they already had a 4.9 star rating and plenty of reviews, so I gave them a call. Easy to get a hold of and talk to a real person, which is rare nowadays. They got me on the schedule for the end of the day on short notice then were able to come within an hour of calling them if it was going to fit my schedule. Alex Tobey was professional, clean, and personable. He checked out the heater and within 10-15 minutes was able to diagnose the problem. He allowed me to go into the attic with him and explained how the whole system worked, let me watch it turn on so I could see it functioning correctly. Didn’t pressure me into buying or replacing anything but did show me parts of the system to keep an eye on in the future. Within an hour our house went from the same temperature outside to nice and toasty. The company as a whole is solid, reliable, and professional. Will recommend to friends and family and will have them back any time I have any work on HVAC systems.

      I selected SouthCoast Heat & Air based on their google review rating. After completion of my service repair, I am now posting my own review from first-hand experience. From the initial contact by phone, I was met with warmth and professionalism. The technician assigned to me was knowledgeable and took the time to explain to me what he would be doing and also broke down in a very simplistic manner his findings along with recommendations and options available to me. He worked directly with the product warranty company to order the necessary part and I did not have to pay anything out of pocket for the part. The labor price was very reasonable and the service call fee which was lower than 3 other companies I’d called was deducted from the labor cost. Even with ordering the part, my unit was up and running quickly and satisfactorily! I decided to enter into an annual service plan agreement at my own inquiry. I am hopeful this will be a lasting relationship.
